DEACONS AND DEACONESSES
This ministry involves a wide range of services for the church. Deacons and deaconesses serves in various capacities during church services and meetings, which include the preparation for baptism, communion, funeral services, as well as greeting and ushering; care of the sick and aid any one in need; teams up with elders in the visitation of members; assist in care, security, and upkeep of the church property. “These officers give careful consideration to individual needs … and they are an important aid to their fellow officers in binding together the various interest of the church into a united whole.” AA p. 93. “… and to instruct others in the truth.” AA p.90.
